Beej Utsav 2024 at Hatia, Raigunj , Uttra Dinajpur, West Bengal

Date: 25th and 26th February, 2024.

Program is organized with support from Keystone Foundation, Bharat Agroecology Fund, Bharat Beej Swaraj Manch and eminent researchers, supporters, volunteers in Sustainable Agriculture field spread across India.

Organic farmers across the state and other states of India will participate in the Utsav along with their heirloom seeds of various crops and foods. It is the first of its kind in North Bengal.

Once can get a chance to observe and realize the amazing crop diversity that we have in India and the farmers who are protecting them from the core of their heart.

The concept of intrinsic value of seeds and seed sovereignty is our prime concern in this era WTO-TRIPS regime.

Along with the exhibition and selling of rare rice varieties and other food items will be organized followed by two day’s long seminar and cultural program.
